In ╬ФADC and ╬ФADB,

AD = AD (Common)

тИаADC =тИаADB (Each 90┬║)

CD = BD (AD is the perpendicular bisector of BC)

тИ┤ ╬ФADC тЙЕ ╬ФADB (By SAS congruence rule)

тИ┤AB = AC (By CPCT)

Therefore, ABC is an isosceles triangle inwhich AB = AC.
