Question - 26 : -

Findgraphically, the maximum value of z = 2x + 5y, subject to constraints givenbelow:

2x +4y £ 8

3x +y £ 6

X +y £ 4

X ³ 0,y ³ 0

Answer - 26 : -

Convertingthe inequations into equations, we obtain the lines

2x + 4y= 8, 3x + y = 6, x + y = 4, x = 0, y = 0.

Theselines are drawn on a suitable scale and the feasible region of the LPP isshaded in the graph.

Fromthe graph we can see the corner points as (0, 2) and (2, 0).
