A vessel in the form of a hollow hemisphere mounted by a hollow cylinder. The diameter of the hemisphere is 14 cm and the total height of the vessel is 13cm. Find the inner surface area of the vessel.



Answer -

Given,

Diameter of thehemisphere = 14 cm

So, the radius of thehemisphere = 7 cm

Total height of thevessel = 13 cm = h + r

Now,

Inner surface area ofthe vessel = 2 π r (h + r)

= 2 (22/7)(7)(13)

= 572 cm

Therefore, the innersurface area of the vessel is 572 cm2
