The Total solution for NCERT class 6-12
(a) Sum of 3x – y + 11 and -y – 11= (3x – y + 11) + (-y – 11)= 3x – y + 11 – y – 11∴ 3x –2y – (3x – 2y) – (3x – y – 11)= 3x – 2y – 3x + y + 11= 3x – 3x – 2y + y + 11= -y + 11 is required solution.
(b) Sum of (4 + 3x) and (5 – 4x + 2x2)= 4 + 3x + 5 – 4x + 2x2= 2x2 – 4x + 3x + 9 = 2x2 – x + 9Sum of (3x2 – 5x) and (-x2 + 2x + 5)= (3x2 – 5x) + (-x2 + 2x + 5)= 3x2 – 5x – x2 + 2x + 5 = 2x2 –3x + 5Now (2x2 – x + 9) – (2x2 – 3x + 5)= 2x2 – x + 9 – 2x2 + 3x – 5= 2x2 – 2x2 +3x – x + 4= 2x + 4 is required expression.
