Question -

A milk tank is in the form of a cylinder whose radius is 1.5 m and length is 7 m. Find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank.

Answer -

Here, r= 1.5 m
h = 7 m
.’. Volume of the milk tank = πr
2h
=22/7 × 1.5 × 1.5 × 7
= 22 × 2.25
= 49.50 m

Volume of milk in litres = 49.50 × 1000 L (
1 m3 =1000 litres)
= 49500 L
Hence, the required volume = 49500 L.
