Given P(A) = 5/3 and P(B) = 1/5 . Find P(A or B), if A and B are mutually exclusive events.

Answer -

From the question it is given that,

P(A) = 5/3 and P(B) = 1/5

Then, P(A or B), if A and B are mutually exclusive

P(AB) or P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B)

= (3/5) + (1/5)

= 4/5
