From a circular sheet of radius 4 cm, a circle of radius 3 cm is removed. Find the area of the remaining sheet. (Take ╧А = 3.14)



Answer -

Radius of the circular sheet = 4 cm
тИ┤ Area =╧Аr2┬а= ╧А ├Ч 4 ├Ч 4 = 16╧А cm2
Radius of the circle to be removed = 3 cm
тИ┤ Areaof sheet removed = ╧Аr2┬а= 9╧А cm2
Area of the remaining sheet
= (16╧А тАУ 9╧А) cm2 = 7╧А cm2
= 7 ├Ч 3.14 cm2┬а= 21.98 cm2
Hence, the required area = 21.98 cm2.
